
Illegal Alien Sentenced for Re-Entering U.S.
Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Javier Torres-Limon, 47, a citizen of Mexico found living in Baraboo, Wis., was sentenced on March 21, 2012, by U.S. District Judge William Conley to 24 months in prison for illegally re-entering the United States after deportation. Torres-Limon pleaded guilty to this charge on December 21, 2011.
Torres-Limon had been removed from the United States on two prior occasions. While he was in the United States, he committed a number of crimes.
The charges against Torres-Limon were the result of an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman.
